32-year-old Scientist Murdered By Her Boyfriend In South Africa

A lady named Dorcas ‘Didi’ Lekganyane, a noblewoman aged 32, was killed by her lover in South Africa.

According to reports, she was stabbed repeatedly by her boyfriend in their dwelling in Bramley, Johannesburg, on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

One of the state police officers, Colonel Noxolo Kweza, said that the police are taking action on the murder case after receiving the report of the domestic violence incident.

Colonel Kweza stated:

“Her partner was also found in the house. He was taken to a local hospital where he was placed under police guard. He will be charged with murder and will appear in court soon,” Kweza said in a statement on Friday.

We gathered that the deceased was an academic and well-known scientist internationally. She was recognized as one of the Mail and Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans because of her impact and hard work.

We learned that she was a victim of domestic violence.
