The 8Base ransomware gang has been a significant player in the cybercrime landscape, targeting numerous organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.
This takedown follows the recent arrest of four individuals in Thailand suspected of involvement in the 8Base ransomware operation. These individuals are believed to be responsible for stealing over $16 million from 17 Swiss companies through ransomware attacks.

The disruption of 8Base follows a trend of successful law enforcement actions against major ransomware groups, including LockBit and AlphV/BlackCat.
