Annie Macaulay-Idibia Wipes Instagram Clean Amid 2Baba Divorce Drama
Actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia is back on Instagram after weeks of staying quiet, but she didn’t return quietly. In a major move, she cleared out her entire Instagram page, leaving fans shocked and curious.
The clean-out happened early Thursday morning, just days after her ex-husband, 2Baba (Innocent Idibia), was spotted shopping at a luxury boutique with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
Annie has kept a low profile ever since news of her separation from the music legend broke in January. With no posts, no captions, and no explanations, she left everyone wondering what was going on.
But this digital vanishing act didn’t come out of nowhere. It follows a messy, public breakup that’s been playing out for months.
Back in January, 2Baba dropped a bombshell on Instagram, writing: “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed for divorce.”

Even though he later deleted the post, he went live to confirm the news, saying, “No one hacked my account. I said what I said. I come in peace.”
Things got even more real when the couple unfollowed each other on social media, marking the end of what was once one of Nigeria’s most talked-about love stories.
Annie, who starred in his African Queen video and married him in 2012, has been open about the struggles in their relationship—including infidelity and personal battles.
On Young, Famous & African, she bravely shared her pain, talking about a heartbreaking miscarriage and feeling neglected in her own marriage.
Meanwhile, 2Baba seems to have moved on. A viral video from March 25 showed him shopping with Natasha Osawaru at Seyi Vodi’s fashion store. Natasha could be heard saying, “Came shopping. Wearing this to parliament on Monday.”
This comes after another viral clip in February where 2Baba appeared to propose to Natasha—sparking mixed reactions online. Reports say even his family was concerned about how fast things were moving.
Now, fans are speculating that Annie’s Instagram wipe might be her way of closing this chapter for good.
As one X user (@Olayinka) put it: “When a woman clears her whole page like that, just know she’s entering a new era. Annie no dey play.”
