Nigerian Women Make History in Paris Olympics

It is really awesome that Nigeria has qualified for the finals of the women’s long jump at the current Summer Olympics. Thanks to Ese Brume, Ruth Usoro, and Prestina Ochonogor for competing and breaking records at the current Olympics in Paris. This is the first time in history that Nigerian women have reached this height.
There are about 31 athletes present for the Olympics in Paris. Out of the 31, 12 met the criteria of 6.75 meters. The three women met the criteria for qualifying for the finals. Ese Brume exceeded the limit with a jump of about 6.78 meters, Ruth Usoro with 6.68 meters, and Prestina Ochonogor with 6.65 meters.
The three athletes will compete against contenders from Germany, the USA, France, Italy, and Romania in the finals on Thursday, August 8th.
