Portable’s Assault Case Adjourned: Court Sets New Hearing Date for Singer and Employees

A popular Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as A.K.A Portable, appeared in an Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court over an alleged assault case. However, the court has decided to postpone the hearing to allow the prosecution more time to combine the charges against him with those of his employees.

The prosecution requested a brief adjournment to properly prepare and consolidate the charges before the trial moves forward. Portable and his workers are facing multiple charges, including conspiracy, assault, unlawful obstruction while armed with cutlasses and a firearm, and behavior that could incite public disturbance.
